Day01 Arrival Delhi
Met on arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight stay
Day 02 In Delhi
Full day city tour of Delhi visiting The Hindu temple – Birla Mandir, The Mighty Red Fort, Friday Mosque – Jama Masjid, The Silver Streets of Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat – The Cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi , The India Gate – a 42 M high war memorial, Rashtrapati Bhawan – The president's house, Tomb of Emperor Humayun, Qutab Minar – a 73 M high victory tower and The Bahai Temple – shaped like a Lotus flower & a proof of India's Secularism.
Visit the Red Fort once again to witness the Son-Et-Lumiere show followed by Indian Theme dinner at the famous Indian restaurant – The Chore Bizzare. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 03 Delhi – Varanasi 9W-723 (1040-1150)
Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Varanasi. Upon arrival meet & assistance and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 In Varanasi
At dawn, city & the river come alive, the light is magical & Varanasi is an exotic place. Early morning, Boat Ride along the ghats -- the stone steps which lead down to the river, to watch the gathered faithful, ritually cleansing themselves of their sins. Return to hotel for a wash and change.
Later, proceed for a city tour of the holy city – Your tour of religious capital of Hinduism takes you to toasting of bathing ghats which line the banks of the Holy River Ganges, The Kashiviswanth Temple – the most sacred shrine of lord Shiva known as the Patron God of Varanasi, The Durgakund, The Sankatmochan – shrine of Monkey God Hanuman. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Varanasi - Khajuraho 9W-723 (1220-1300)
Transfer to airport to connect flight for Khajuraho. Met on arrival and transfer to hotel. Later, proceed for a city tour of Khajuraho visiting the Chandela temples of Khajuraho which are one of the India's major tourist attraction & are a superb example of Indo - Aryan architecture.
The remoteness & isolation of Khajuraho have ensured the survival of these great treasures. Built during the 10th & 11th century, only 22 of the original 85 temples are surviving. Famed for their erotic sculptures, the temples in fact depict an exquisite detail of the everyday life of people of that era. Return to hotel for overnight stay
Day 06 Khajuraho – Agra IC-7408 (1505-1545)
Transfer to airport to connect flight for Agra. Met on arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 In Agra
City tours of Agra visiting The World famous Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world -- a monument of love created by emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his Beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal & perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world, the Red Fort -- a testament to the rise & fall of the mughal Empire built by Emperor Shah Jahan in red sand stone over 400 years ago. Evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Agra - Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur covering a distance of 250 kms en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, The deserted capital of Emperor Akbar which is approximately 35 kms outside Agra. Built in the 16th Century, This city was abandoned 12 years later due to scarcity of water. The entire city of red sand stone, palace & temples is virtually intact and a sight worth seeing is the 54 m high main entrance -- The Bulland Darwaza, the gate of victory constructed to commemorate Akbar's victory in Gujrat. On arrival in Jaipur, check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 Jaipur - Neemrana
City tour of Jaipur – Your tour of the Pink city takes you to Hawa Mahal -- the Palace of Winds, The facade of which is all pink windows & filigree screens, The Jantar Mantar -- largest & best preserved 18th Century stone observatory, The City Palace -- still home of the former royalty H.H BHAWANI Singh Ji of Jaipur housing an extensive collection of art, carpets & old weapons.
You also visit The Amber Fort -- Situated 11 kms from Jaipur, Amber was once the a ancient capital of Jaipur state. The fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture stunningly situated on a hill-side & overlooking a lake which reflects its terraces & ramparts.
The climb to the Fort is on Gaily Bedecked Elephants. After the city tour, drive to Neemrana covering a distance of 130 kms/03 hours. On arrival in Neemrana, check in at the Neemrana fort palace. Overnight at the fort.
Day 10 Neemrana - Delhi airport
Enjoy the day in the lush green hills around Neemrana. Evening, drive to Delhi airport covering a distance of 110 kms in time to connect flight for onward destination. |
